Ultimate Racing History has a pretty complete set of USAC Stock Car Results, I wonder if there's any interest in adding them here? 5. The Third Turn also has AAA from 1950-55 but not complete results. Also many more seasons (but not all of them) are available on The Third Turn for ASA. Just some thoughts if everyone is stuck home. Stay safe everyone 6. MSportRev posted: 03.21.2020 - 11:33 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) @4 You may have given me a project to work on. Just depends on my job at the college and what little I can do for Kickin' the Tires with everything basically being on hiatus. 7. Depending on how much free time I have, I'll see what I might be able to do. 9. Also not sure how many lead changes there were, beyond "numerous" but for reference winner Dean Roper led 5 times for his 35 laps. If everyone else kept up that pace, I would say they were most definitely on pace for "numerous" lead changes. DNQs: Joe Wallace (owner: Joe Naegler) Bobby Allison failed to qualify when his Pontiac had mechanical trouble, but was added to the starting grid when ARCA & USAC invoked the good ole' promoter's option clause. Allison didn't disappoint and put on a show, charging from the back to the front over and over again - the setup for the car caused Allison to experience excessive tire wear and he hit the pits for four fresh tires every caution period. Allison and Marvin Smith - running 1st and 2nd at the time - hit pit road when the caution for rain came out, allowing Roper to inherit the lead. Allison never had a chance to get back to the front as the rain persisted, intensified, and washed away the final 29 laps. Allison was apparently the highest-finishing ARCA entrant, though Brevak and Venturini became longtime ARCA participants - and series champions! - when USAC dropped stock car sanctioning a couple years later. 12.
