This was a combination race with the NASCAR Busch Series. Yes, ARCA and
BGN had combination races back then. And caution-free ones, to boot...

Davey Allison was awarded the ARCA win for this event.

Allison got credit for the win in the ARCA results and standings.

Results as far as the ARCA books are concerned:

1. Allison
2. Dotter
3. Lowe
4. Venturini
5. Simko
6. Raymond
7. Bryant

Hensley did not get credit for the ARCA win, just the BGN win. Should be
treated like any other combination race here

This race was a combination event with the Busch series race of the same
date, and should be listed/scored as such. Jimmy Hensley does not have
any ARCA tracked starts to his name, much less a win.

It's the only time ARCA has had a combination event with either of the
top two series of NASCAR.

It's not hard to see why this combination race wasn't repeated. The
NASCAR Busch Series teams dominated this matchup, leading every lap and
sweeping the top-15 positions, with the ARCA winner Davey Allison 12
laps down to Hensley after some sort of issue. Brett Bodine had them
covered until the motor in his polesitting #5 Levi Garrett Pontiac,
painted like his brother Geoff's Cup car, gave up the ghost with 70 laps
to go.

Among the duplicate numbers crowd, as far as I can tell the Busch teams
had the priority if there was any conflict, but the only major change
was Lee Raymond not being able to run the Coyle team's traditional #1 in
the race. There did appear to be one potential case of musical chairs
among the Busch teams though: Jeff Hensley was originally listed in the
#2 (as was Dennis DeVea in the ARCA group), Butch Miller was originally
listed in the #08, and John Linville was originally listed in the #62.
I've exhausted the list of articles/accounts I can find regarding this
race over the last few years, so sources like these seem to be the last
stones unturned.
