Once it was fixed he came back to finish second in the race. 7. rm posted: 05.19.2020 - 9:24 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Of course he made a comeback like that. The dirt-mile races from the 80s-mid-90s or so were all so wild and bizarre, the weirdest things would happen when you ran old & unreliable stock cars on horse tracks at the hottest time of the year. Even moreso at DuQuoin when they kept starting 40+ car fields for 150 or 200 mile races. Somebody always wound up rolling over, running through the guardrails, or landing on top of the hay bales. And there'd always be a couple cars still rolling at the end with most of the sheetmetal missing. It's a crime that those races were rarely televised until the early-2000s, they would have made for some fine entertainment. 8. rm posted: 06.11.2020 - 5:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Some DNQs: Brian Tobin, #11 Morris Coffman, #14 C&H Transit Chevrolet (Sally Coffman) Steve Drake, #29 Chevrolet R.D.
