Venturini, Raymond, Keselowski & Schacht were the 4 leaders. Schacht won $6,025. Schacht started 1st. The track length was measured at 0.965 miles. 9. It originally opened in 1967 as a dragstrip, then added 2.2 mile & .965 mile road courses. All of the facilities were unfortunately demolished in 1995 to make way for Gateway. 10. Of his 17 ARCA wins this was the only one that came on a road course. Several contenders fell by the wayside in this one. ARCA points leader Lee Raymond got taken out in a multi-car melee at Turn 5. David Simko and Bill Venturini meanwhile were sidelined by mechanical gremlins. 12. Strait, then known mostly as an ASA racer, would be an ARCA staple in future years but the crash put him on the sidelines early here. 13.
