It must have been a typo 15. 23andJoe posted: 04.28.2014 - 9:16 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Good catches, SRT. A little sleuthing turns up drivers for all three of those cars. First, the #31 Chevrolet. Gary Hall was a short-track driver from the area who drove a blue #31 Chevrolet - and that's what this is. Secondly, the #98. An interesting one, but one that can be worked out. It's a red #98 Chevrolet...and, in Winston Cup , Connie Saylor drove Ralph Ball's red /#99/ Chevrolet in a few races. And as the #99 was taken by Mike Bettenhausen... The #78 Pontiac, meanwhile, was the easiest of the batch, as that's the car Jimmy Ingalls tore up in the following season's opener at Daytona. So: -Gary Hall was in the #31 -Connie Saylor was in the #98 (owner Ralph Ball) -Jimmy Ingalls was in the #78 And also: #01 owner: Larry Moyer 16. I also saw a white #56 Pontiac, which was Howard Rose 17. 23andJoe posted: 04.29.2014 - 4:37 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) That'd be correct, appears #78 was a Pontiac then. 18.
