Ultimately this was just a temporary fix as he proceeded to total that car as well the next week at Toledo in a big crash on the opening start of the race. 5. rm posted: 10.05.2020 - 9:18 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Starting lineup: 2. Blackstock WD: Bob Schacht, #75 Wealth Unlimited Chevrolet (owner - Tom Reet) Dotter borrowed Schacht's primary car but vacated the seat in favor of Schacht after the race started. Dotter, in a pinch, ran a very lazily duct-tape-renumbered #83 the next week at Toledo that looked amateur even by ARCA standards - there's a picture linked in that race's comment section. It didn't do Dotter any good as he was one of many cars collected in a big crash right at the green flag. 29 crew chief - Ron Keselowski (same all 1987) 37 owner - Rolf Helland (same all 1987) Time of race: 0:47:00 Average speed: 69.814 mph Cautions: 10 for 34 laps Margin of victory: 4 carlengths Lead changes: 0 6. Notably the prior ARCA races here were on dirt but Auto City was paved in 1986 so this was the first race on the new blacktop. 7. While Clio and this track is about an hour north of his home the Keselowski clan has a long history of racing in the area with Auto City later serving as a home track for Bob's sons Brian and Brad Keselowski before they reached NASCAR's higher levels. Former ARCA champion Marvin Smith got shut out of victory lane in 1987 with this as the first of his two runner-up finishes on the year. This was only Smith's second start of the year. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
