It was his first victory since Atlanta back in November of 1985 (counting toward 1986). This was Raymond's only victory in his experimental Chevrolet Beretta stock car. The Riverside Auto Parts team started using the Beretta, being weighed as a possible Winston Cup body style at the time (and ultimately an unused one), at the end of the 1987 season and used it throughout 1988. (I don't know if this was the first win for the Beretta, Bob Keselowski also raced one before he eventually got his equally odd Chrysler LeBaron.) 2. 23andJoe posted: 04.29.2014 - 2:44 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #53 owner: Jimmy Human (same for all races this season). 3. 23andJoe posted: 05.02.2014 - 1:20 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Pole speed: 152.122mph #49 sponsor: ??? #49 owner: Ferdin Wallace 4. nascarman posted: 06.03.2017 - 5:02 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Dirt modified racer Billy Pauch recieved sponsorship for this race from Champion Spark Plugs as part of a "Big Chance" promotion. In a car owned by Don Marmor, Pauch wrecked in practice and had to withdraw. However, during the second caution of the day, he got in Marmor's car and drove it to a 12th place finish. 5. rm posted: 06.07.2020 - 4:11 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) WD: Billy Pauch - ??? - Champion Spark Plug - Gail Marmor - Chevrolet As nascarman mentioned above, Pauch won a ride for this event the week of the race, courtesy of the race entitlement sponsor. Pauch didn't get credited with a start here, and he ultimately never officially started an ARCA race. He did wind up in the Truck series briefly a decade later, and put up a best finish of 6th in 1998 at his home track of Flemington - though he had far more laps at the square-shaped track when it was dirt instead of pavement. His son, Billy Pauch Jr., did make it to an ARCA race at Pocono himself 20 years later. Pauch Jr. made four starts at Pocono and did quite well for himself, netting three top-15 finishes and DNFing one time with a blown engine inside of 10 to go. 6. His 15th-place result was his best in the series. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
