Look at the difference between lead lap cars here versus the last race, which was also on dirt. Did they have a monster truck on track at the same time, or what??!! 4. I have determined two of them to be the #40 of Robert Crump, the #81(My best estimation is that its Walter Reily, who entered Springfield the prior week and has driver cars with similar numbers.) and my guess for the third DNS is that one of the two cars listed as #24 was Dickie Taylor. Taylor was on the entry list as a car #24 and I assume the other #24 was Butch Garner whose historically driven cars #23. Here are my guesses the #5 in 17th is probably Chris Gehrke the #24 in 21st is either Dickie Taylor or Butch Garner in the #23? the #7 in 24th is probably Don LaDuke the #73 in 26th is probably Rick Van Vyve the #8 in 28th was not Bob Dotter but likely Dean Roper in the #06 Mueller Brothers Car (Listed as #06 likely due to Weinbroer using the #89 full season) the #81 in 30th that DNSed is unkown but my guess is Walter Riley the #38 in 33rd was likely the Jim Jeffrey car The #93 car in 38th and 40th was Maurice Randall and Rick O'Brien. I am not sure who started where though. and the car in 43rd was either Butch Garner or Dickie Taylor Hope this helps out some. if I get any confirmation on any of these I will post it here and maybe e-mail the Admin. 5. Greg was likely his brother, as they had the same hometown. 7. A photo of "George Weinbroer" in car #5 spinning on the first lap does not help us in this case. Cautions: 6 for 27 laps Margin of Victory: 4 seconds Dean Roper retired from the race with brake problems. Thomas led lap 1-48, Keselowski passed him on the 49th, Thomas moved back into the lead on lap 118 but had engine trouble a lap later that ended his race. Brevak led from that point to Lap 137, when Keselowski passed him. 8. rm posted: 01.02.2019 - 8:54 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) So to go off of what Jeff posted, lap leaders: Thomas 1-48, Keselowski 49-117, Thomas 118, Brevak 119-137, Keselowski 138-200 That would give 4 lead changes 65 status - running 50 status - running 27 status - running 79 status - running 45 status - running 10 status - running 23 status - engine Roper status - brakes 9. Based off of what is legible, though, I have these to offer: The top 20 were all running, as well as 22nd-place Butch Garner. Everyone else was a DNF. Some of the missing statuses: 21. Leslie - rear end 23. M. Smith - engine 24. LaDuke - rear end 27. Jeffrey - crash 28. E. Smith - engine 29. Elliott - oil leak 30. Fry - rear end 31. Randall - overheating 33. Pearson - crash 34. Van Vyve - valve 36. Helland - overheating 38. J. Huffman - rear end 39. Adcox - driveshaft There were 4 lead changes. 11. rm posted: 09.17.2020 - 11:04 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Okay, one month late on the followup here but was able to get a non-water-damaged copy of the race rundown news article.
