All of the crew members managed to avoid Young, except for one - one of his own sons, Chris. The car wasn't terribly damaged, but Young refused to continue after the incident. It turned out Chris broke his leg pretty badly. Chris couldn't be a part of the pit crew, but he continued to travel with the team the rest of the year and cheered on his dad from the stands while he recovered. 8. Horton and the #80 team weren't running for the title, they skipped the prior race at Kil-Kare, but when they turned up early in this season they were sure to be a contender. Gary Nufer makes his first ARCA start in about three years but this was his last appearance on the tour. 9.
