Jerry Cook was leading this race comfortably when Scott Stovall lost a
wheel coming out of turn four and Jerry had no where to go. He hit the
wheel and for a moment I thought it was going to join me in the turn one
grandstands. Jerry had one more start with the Target Expediting team,
1991 at Daytona and he had a vicious crash that made the Stock Car
Racing SpeedWeeks spread.

This race took place two days before the infamous 1990 Plainfield F5
tornado that struck Illinois.
