This was Trickle's first confirmed ARCA start at all since 1970! Scott Hansen's second and final ARCA start. 7. Scott Bloomquist crashes out of his final ARCA start. He made three starts in 1991 but this was as far as his career on pavement would go before he focused on dirt track late models. 10. The research must have paid off as Bill Elliott won both Atlanta races in 1992. 12. That has become less and less true, especially now with next year's new Cup rules package. 15. rm posted: 12.26.2018 - 5:42 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Pole speed: 175.222 mph 16. In the early 1990s like this you could even still run Goodyear Tires like the Cup cars did so this series saw a lot of R&D for NASCAR action. Johnny Chapman, probably best known as a NASCAR Busch Series racer today, makes his ARCA debut in a Pontiac fielded by the Bahari Racing Cup team and finishes in the top-10. It would turn out to be Chapman's only top-10 among his three ARCA starts. 17.
