RaceFanX posted: 12.23.2017 - 10:35 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Ben Hess had a wild weekend as he and Jim Spicuzza team initially planned to do both this ARCA race and the Winston Cup race later in the weekend. The team won the pole for this one but blew an engine in doing so then gave up on its Cup effort when its car failed tech inspection. To get his #37 Oldsmobile on track for this race the Target Expediting team took the engine out of the Cup car, with no track time on it, and put it into his ARCA only to have the car fail right at the start and send him to the sidelines. Hess would eventually get into the Cup race as a relief driver for the injured Michael Waltrip. 7.
