First 5 laps were run a month prior. Somehow ARCA thought they would Bob
Williams to the field despite those 5 laps already counting, meaning the
#01 started the race 5laps down essentially.

Tim Steele's only ARCA win of 1994, the then-defending ARCA champion
only ran a partial schedule of six races.

Bob Williams was 'tacked on' to the field after the postponement
because, techniclaly, the race had never taken the green flag: the first
five laps were run green/yellow to dry the track before a downpour
started and they threw in the towel, so the starting field was still in
qualifying order. A bit odd, but hey...

After the postponement, Mark Thompson relief-drove for Jerry Glanville,
and Mark Gibson for James Hylton.

TNN televised this race.

Canadian Mike Goudie makes his ARCA debut and posts his best finish in
16th. His #38 Smith and Wesson entry was fittingly nicknamed the ".38
Special" and carried TNN's on-board camera for this race.

Very rain plagued event, as it was run on a Thursday in July as part of
a doubleheader for ARCA that weekend after being totally rained out that
June.

This was Laura Lane's last ARCA start. She had finished in the top-10 at
M.I.S. earlier in the season but crashed out here. She would attempt a
Cup race at M.I.S. later in the summer but this was her last higher
level stock car race.

I'm curious, is there any reason that the Simko-Schacht car was using
the #0, it looks like the same make and sponsor as the 17 car from that
year.
