Fittingly the race saw dirt tracker Ed Dixon score his only victory in the series. The skies were threating for this race and there was a brief rain delay but they got the race in as scheduled. Bob Hill won the pole and led early but axle issues knocked him out of contention. Once Hill was gone Dixon had the dominant car and while he gave up the lead to Frank Kimmel to pit he eventually drove back into the lead and onto victory. 4. Kosiski proceeded to charge through the field and get past Kimmel late to finish second to Dixon. It was a great night for the Kosiski family as Steve's brother Joe Kosiski also won the 25-lap dirt late model feature that ran earlier in the day on the undercard. 5.
