Strait's one-off saw him qualify on the outside pole and led the race but a crash put him on the sidelines by the halfway point. 6. He and Andy Hillenburg got together and both ended up in the outside wall with Schacht's red #75 getting up on its side as a result, going for a ride on the wall briefly before sliding down the track still on its side. It led to a pit road confrontation where Schacht's pit crew blocked Hillenburg on pit road with one even attempting to throw a punch through the driver's window. 9. This race turned into a battle of ARCA icons as former champion Tim Steele faced off against 1994's title runner-up and local favorite Frank Kimmel. With six laps to go Steele got under Kimmel and took the lead but he ran Kimmel into the outside wall in the process. The Papa John's Pizza #02 Olds bumped the back of the HSDie #16 Ford and knocked its rear bumper loose but Steele would hold on to take a victory that proved very unpopular with the local fans who no doubt were disappointed that Indiana's own Kimmel didn't get the win. Whittymore sneaked past Kimmel to take second when Kimmel got the wall. This was just Steele's fifth ARCA win and his first in more than a year. It would be the start of a hot streak though for the Man of Steele as he would win out the remainder of ARCA's 1995 season. Bobby Bowsher's top-10 here was well timed. With Hillenburg's issues here Bowsher's success allowed the reigning ARCA champion to tie Andy for the points lead with just two races left in the season. 10. Highly recommend it, worth the listen. https://youtu.be/V3dtUZmMGeo?t=479 [7:59 to 13:54] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
