ARCA raced here three times in 1996 and the Man of Steele claimed the trifecta by putting the red #16 HS Die Ford Thunderbird in victory lane each time he pulled off the hauler here. This was Shari Minter's second and final ARCA start. Minter had a been a staple of the now defunct NASCAR Sportsman series so it's kind of fitting her last outing was in one of the ARCA races at Charlotte that replaced it. Minter retired from motorsports after the 1996 season. 7. rm posted: 02.29.2020 - 12:34 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Margin of victory - under caution Frankie Spradlin crashed in turn 4 with two laps to go, ending the race prematurely. 06 owner - Wayne Peterson (same for the following race at Atlanta) DC: Jerry Hill - 5 - ??? - ??? - Chevrolet In some eerie foreshadowing, Blaise Alexander was hospitalized overnight after being injured in his lap 10 crash. The injury seemed to be relatively minor, though - he broke the big toe on his left foot, though it was described as an open fracture, which could not have been that fun. 8.
