The big one in this race happened in Turn 3 with about 20 laps to go.
Four wide didn't work (I think it was Mark Gibson,Jimmy Kitchens,Harris
DeVane and one other car). Several cars spun into the infield,except for
Dale Kreider and another car who went up into the outside wall,only to
have Drew White come along and pile into both cars late in the going. It
was a pretty vicious wreck,but no injuries thankfully. Thompson and
Steele battled with each other all day,no one else had anything for them.

Tim Steele wins his fourth race in a row, all four coming from the pole.
He would add a fifth consecutive win (after starting 4th) in Springfield
the following weekend

James Finch's team saw this race go from a great day to an utter
disaster in about 15 seconds just 13 laps from the finish. Both cars
were in the top-10 with Craig Butts, making his ARCA debut, in the
team's #14 Chevrolet entry having just passed his teammate Matt Hutter,
a lap ahead of him in third place, in the #1 when they got together.
Butts went into the outside wall as the incident collected both cars and
sent both Butts and Hutter into the inside wall hard. Both Finch
Chevrolets were done for the day but both drivers escaped injury.

Venturini. The pit road reporters were Steve Byrnes and Matt Yocum.
