Despite crashing out his 23rd place finish here would be his best in four ARCA appearances. This was his only start of 1998. 10. As part of the filming process full-time Winston West racer Eric Norris crosses over to make his ARCA debut at the wheel of a yellow #14 Ford Taurus that would be featured prominently in the episodes. Norris qualified great but a mechanical problem knocked his #14 Ford out of the race. Eric Norris, also an accomplished stuntman who directed a few episode of "Walker," is the son of "Walker" star Chuck Norris and by running this race he actually was somewhat doubling for his dad as the title character. The two-part episode titled "Team Cherokee" aired the following February and featured "Walker" and his team investigating the Texas Motor Speedway when the titular Team Cherokee race team, named for the fact it is run entirely by Cherokee Native Americans, is befallen by a series of suspicious accidents culminating in a wild rollover crash that badly injuries its driver at the end of part one. Part two sees the team drafting in the part-Cherokee Walker to race their stock car as Texas' top cop is found to have aa previously unmentioned street racing background. Walker of course wins the race and saves the team. 11. rm posted: 11.21.2019 - 10:15 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Gibson's winnings: $23,050 Billy Meazell took a nasty couple of shots in this race and suffered some burns as a result. He was driving an old Lumina! The race's start was delayed when Jeff Finley's car stopped on the track during the pace laps and would not refire or move due to gear and brake issues. Eventually Finley did join the race after it started, but clearly it didn't last very long. 12.
