The team ran their pit practice colors on the car and sold a diecast of it to benefit Kerry's career. 7. Newman and Strait in the 66 were side by side in Turn 1 coming to 2 laps to go, when Newman, who was on the bottom, got into Strait on the outside, sending him into the inside retaining wall. The race ended under caution. Strait was livid and declined post-race interviews. Newman, an up-and-comer but still relatively unknown at the time, said he didn't mean to wreck Strait in his Victory Lane interview. 11. He would record these four wins in just eight ARCA starts including a start-and-park in 1997 before he teamed up with Penske. 14. That wound up being half of the final margin in the standings between Kimmel and Strait, who had entered Pocono with the lead over Kimmel in the standings. A crew member on Shawna Robinson's team broke a kneecap when Robinson ran through her pit stall on an attempted pit stop. Also, if anyone has any idea what Bill Baird's sponsor is/means, I would love to know. 16. That said, I have x3 theories. 1st, "Fahooji" could be somebody's last name & they helped fund the car - as possible support of this idea, both instances of "GF" showed up @Pocono... this would make "Gizmo" a nickname that skews results. 2nd, Gizmo could refer to either a NJ company (where Pywowariw lived) or further abroad (maybe Pywowariw emigrated, & so US search engines fail?) - for being 2000, it could be some failed tech startup for all I know... 3rd, "Fahooji" is an unknown misspelling that's perpetuated TTD. I've looked into this prior, & the rabbit hole is just too much... the mystery is taunting, & @ this point Bill Baird or maybe a Pywowariw relative seem R-R's only hope. 19. rm posted: 11.10.2020 - 7:30 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) ^ Glad I'm not the only one completely flummoxed on that front. That is also listed as Kevin Ray's sponsor in the same car (but a DNQ) in the June Pocono race, and since Kevin is still very active in the sport he might be an easier jumping-off point for that topic. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
