A short field and a wreck'em-up-type race led to this being the last of the 250-lap Winchester events. Just 16 cars made serious happy hour lap attempts. 3. Blackstock had been a rare Mopar competitor in higher level stock car racing with the unique Dodge model from 1996 until this race in early 2001 but with the Avenger now out of production and Dodge back in action with the Dodge Intrepid it was clear his car's days were numbered. Blackstock would return racing Fords for other teams later in the year while the Scherer team would field a new #4 Intrepid for Justin Labonte at Nashville Super Speedway later in the season. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
