First caution - laps 6-9 - 0, 20 accident backstretch (the 20 was an old
Ricky Rudd Tide Cup car, with a 2 hastily decaled over the 1 from the
old 10)
Second caution - laps 71-78 - 91 accident turn 1
Third caution - laps 82-84 - 17 accident backstretch

It was a short day for two of the local southern Michigan racers as
Brooklyn hometown hero Chuck Roumell, making his first ARCA start in
about four years, and Kevin McGuire, making his second ARCA start out of
the state's famous "Cereal City" in Battle Creek, crashed out together
in the opening laps. McGuire it trouble and got the wall on the
backstretch only to recover and start driving away when Roumell ran into
the back of him, the damage putting both cars out of the race. McGuire
was not happy at all afterward. This would be Roumell's final ARCA start.

Kevin McGuire's quickly redecorated Ricky Rudd Tide Ride even kept the
Ts from Tide on the quarter panels and used it as the first letter of
the branding for his sponsor the Thrill Ride Driving Experience.
McGuire's driving suit was also second hand but effective, he had a blue
FINA Lube outfit that wouldn't have looked out of place with Randy
LaJoie's Busch team a few years earlier.
