Led almost half of the laps he ever ran (600/1280), won over half of the races (9/16), never finished outside of the top ten, and had an avg. finish of 2.7. 10. rm posted: 05.02.2017 - 9:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) First caution - laps 9-12 - 5 stalled backstretch Second caution - laps 25-29 - 90 accident turn 1 To the rear - 28 - backup car; 19 - driver change This race was broadcast on TNT. Their prerace heavily focused on two drivers they were sure would be the future of NASCAR - Jason Jarrett and Stuart Kirby. Kirby's stock had peaked with this race though, Kirby struggled upon moving up to NASCAR once he was in equipment that wasn't top tier. Kirby didn't even make a whole season's worth of starts in the top 3 series combined before he found his career all but over in 2005. There was a whole lot of attrition in this race, even by early-2000s ARCA speedway standards, thanks to the long 50+ lap green flag run to the finish. 11. ol hank posted: 02.09.2018 - 11:57 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Robert Burroughs swung his car around the track in the high groove all race en route to a top 5. From the drop of the green he was the only guy willing to try it, and it worked. 12. rm posted: 11.21.2019 - 8:36 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Kevin Belmont was relieved by Scott Ritter under the first caution so that he could crew brother Andy Belmont's car in one of the Belmont family's home races. Hard to say it worked, though, as Andy finished 12th after experiencing gear issues while Ritter drove the second team car to 15th place. 51 sponsor - America Online 51 owner - Andy Belmont 13. His final win overall came later in the season at Berlin on his home short track. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
