Yeah, that is sad, he must have been heart broken over losing his son
Tony...poor guy. I feel so bad for the family, losing 2 members in a
little over a year.

Defending race winner Frank Kimmel succeeds in his defense as he bests
Bob Strait and Jason Jarrett to win at Springfield again. This was the
second of his eight wins on the Illinois clay oval.

Dean Roper won the first ARCA race ever held at Springfield back in
1983, an event that was a combination race with the USAC Stock Car
Series where he was a regular. R.I.P. Dean Roper.

This was Kimmel's 30th career win. He would win 50 more times in his
legendary career.
