After experiencing engine trouble, Dennis English reverted to using Greg
Sarff's spare car and had Sarff's crew chief Bill Flowers shake down the
car by making its qualifying laps. It worked well enough as Flowers
outqualified Sarff himself and English brought it back home in one piece.
