It was extremely hot and the attrition was nearly as high as the temperature. #47 owner - Vern Slagh (same for Campbell's Berlin win) 25 sponsor - Hawk Sawblades Withdrew: Greg van Alst, #01 Robert Locke Concrete/Shelby Materials Chevy (Robert Locke) DNQ info: 06 owner - Wayne Peterson 8 owner - Norm Benning 5. rm posted: 12.14.2018 - 1:47 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Found more, better info, sorry for the back to back posts. It was his fifth win in the first 10 races of 2002. Jarrett had to settle for a runner-up finish for the third time this season. Ohio racer Chris Moore makes his ARCA debut and comes home an impressive third against the series big guns. This would be Moore's best career finish although he would score a top-5 finish every time he ran in the series in 2002. Red Farmer ran ARCA races at Daytona and Talladega from 1981 to 1993 during his first ARCA racing comeback. After 1993 he retired from superspeedway racing so his early 2000s comeback focused only on short and dirt track events. ARCA's record keeping from the early 1970s is spotty but it appears this was Farmer's first ARCA short track race since his win at Nashville in October 1970 during a race that counted for the 1971 season. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
