@3 His right side tires were too soft. Whether or not he packed up
himself or was forced to withdraw by officials I don't know, but was
probably the former, being as he kept the pole award.

The anticipated debut of Deborah Renshaw. She ran quite well in her
first season in ARCA, not finishing worse than 11th in any of her 5
starts. Her career seemed to be off to a promising start until she was
involved in the accident that killed Eric Martin in the fall at
Charlotte. She never quite recovered mentally from that and then jumped
up to Trucks far too fast, floundering badly in that series.

Jamie Mosley's ARCA debut also nets him his best ARCA finish in 18th.

Both Sean Stafford and Keith Murt crashed in practice and may have
qualified and raced in their backup cars.
