The Pork Board sponsored a variety of ARCA-related ventures in the
2000s, really it's not too far out there if you're familiar with the
series - but it certainly is a mouthful (pun only slightly intended
there...)!

In a showdown of lesser-heralded teams, at one point Ron Cox's Hixson
machine was battling with Fred Campbell's Vern Slagh-owned ex-Tide Ride
for the lead. Campbell's bright orange and white Ford came out ahead
ultimately but Cox did start a string of 5 top tens in 6 races with this
race's result. Bill Venturini noted on the broadcast that Cox was
battling Campbell's old Cal Wells car with an old Jeremy Mayfield Penske
car.

Campbell's victory here came in just his second ARCA start. While this
would be his only win he's score top-10s in every start he made...most
of which were in Slagh's equipment.
