Shelby Howard ran into the same problem that Kyle Busch had run into at
California. Because of Tobacco advertisements on the race track the
young 17 year old was held out from competing and was given 39th place
points. (Source: The Salem Broadcast from the next week)

77 crew chief - Patrick Donahue (First race with the team that couldn't
really lock down a single crew chief most of the year, with owner Todd
Braun often filling the role at the racetrack. Not a bad result!)

This was Rick Carelli's third, and last, runner-up finish in ARCA
action. The High Plains Drifter had 10 ARCA top-10s in just 18 starts in
the series but always found the gates to victory lane locked.

Road racer Tony Ave makes his ARCA debut, taking over Robert Burroughs'
#53 for a one-off effort, and turns in a strong run as he both qualifies
and finishes in the top-10 on the Chicagoland high banks despite being
out of his element.

Tied for the best finish for Brian Conz. It was only a 12th place
finish, but this one was with the largest field.
