The car got airborne from the impact, overall the crash was very similar to Dave Marcis wreck here in a 1999 Winston Cup race. 4. Bill Eversole, Bobby Gerhart, and Christian Fittipaldi all blew up in quick succession) Third caution - laps 38-40 - 25, 64 accident Long Pond straight Fourth caution - laps 50-53 - 6, 88, 92 slow on track (A three-for-one! Greg Sacks' #88 was an old Dale Jarrett UPS car that only had the sponsor decals changed. The memorable brown and white scheme was still present on Sacks' ride. The Bobby Jones crew just cut off the tip of the nose and the decklid to make it a "Dodge" instead of a Ford. Bill Venturini recounted the tale of an unnamed driver running over a squirrel in the first practice, making it a true full Pocono weekend. 8. Tom Eriksen spun going into Turn 1 trying to miss the melee and got the outside wall as a result. Cox was ultimately able to continue but Busch and Eriksen were done for the day. 9. I had forgotten how "feast or famine" he was in ARCA. He won three times, but didn't have a top-10 otherwise. 11. rm posted: 02.27.2020 - 9:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 06 owner - Andy Belmont Belmont never had any issue finding local guys from his neck of the woods in PA that wanted to take a shot at the big track. Haggenbottom, for example, was a sprint car guy. 12. SweetRich posted: 02.29.2020 - 2:03 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) The commentators for the race were Bob Dillner, Bill Venturini and Ken Schrader. Morgan-McClure was initially going to enter him in the Cup race but after he failed to qualify for a planned Cup debut at Loudon a week earlier Reutimann and the team decided it would be better to take their first shot at Pocono at the ARCA level and withdrew their Cup entry. The move paid off with a runner-up finish here...but it was still a tough weekend for Morgan-McClure on the whole as it's signature #4 Pontiac failed to qualify for the main Cup race with Brett Bodine at the wheel. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
