He showed tremendous potential in ARCA, and when he moved up to Busch in 2005 he somehow looked ordinary. 2. schraderfan posted: 03.18.2009 - 7:07 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) It was only announced after his win that Blake Feese had Hendrick Motorsports support. 3. It was probably the hardest crash I've seen anybody have at the Nashville Superspeedway. 4. RaceFanX posted: 01.14.2010 - 12:46 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Blake Feese's first ARCA win 5. This remains Todd Bodine's lone post-1996 ARCA start. 6. Jeff Wagoner (ARCA Results Archive) posted: 11.21.2013 - 10:23 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #77 Owner was Todd Braun. Marlin's owner for his other three ARCA starts in 2004 was Jon Pressnell. 7. His only other ARCA start came later in 2004 at Talladega, odd that the road course ace, who has 21 wins and 2 championships in the American Le Mans Series, had no starts on a road course in ARCA. 8. Bodine was racing through the field when he was attempting to pass Randall Ritter and Ritter cut down on Bodine, sending Bodine hard into the outside wall. Johnny Leonard, carrying an onboard camera, crashed on lap 33. The car, with Donnie Allison as crew chief, went briefly airborne as it hit the turn 1 wall hard. The lapped car that Hemphill tangled with in the closing stages was Chris Comalander. Klaus Graf, running an unsponsored lookalike car of Ken Schrader's BAM Cup entry, was in second place and inherited the lead when Hemphill ran over an unsuspecting Comalander. Unfortunately Graf lost the lead on the restart to Blake Feese, but it still made for a thrilling and unexpected finish. 11. I guess, like Talladega '95 when he had his bizarre crash that his right front tire was pierced inside his windshield, bought the car from Richard Childress. Also, that was his last ARCA race. 13. rm posted: 04.13.2017 - 5:44 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) First caution - laps 2-4 - 11, 49 spun frontstretch Second caution - laps 9-13 - 31, 49 accident frontstretch Third caution - laps 26-31 - 56 spun frontstretch Fourth caution - laps 33-38 - 13 accident turn 2 Fifth caution - laps 43-47 - 44, 95 accident turn 2 Sixth caution - laps 74-81 - debris Seventh caution - laps 86-90 - 59, 66 accident turn 2 Eighth caution - laps 106-109 - 18, 64 accident turn 2 13 crew chief - Donnie Allison 5 crew chief - Bobby Gerhart 69 crew chief - Scott Eggleston 14. Kimmel had an absurd 2.8 average starting position with 5 poles to his name; he also started first two other times when qualifying was rained out. Even knowing that, it's still hard to believe that this race is where he had his worst starting spot all year long - 6th! That was his only start out of the top five in 2004. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
