Jason Rudd goes out with a blown motor at about the 1/3rd mark as he
makes his final ARCA start. This was Rudd's final start in any major
stock car series but he did fail to qualify for a pair of NASCAR Truck
races early the following year.

The more I read about Chris Moore, the more I wonder what could have
been. He finished in the top five in each of the first four starts he
made, was a onetime prospect in the Penske stable and had a very solid
crew chief on the box in Eddie Sharp. When he returned after a hiatus in
2004, his cars were prepped in some sort of alliance with Mike Harmon's
team - which, while nowhere near the level of Penske or even Cunningham
at the time, was far from the kiss of death that would be today - and he
ran well again. After that it seems like a bit of a mystery, even the
third turn doesn't have any further results.
