Former ARCA regular Perry Tripp returns to make his final ARCA start and
his only one of 2004. Tripp, back in his usual #6, would get taken out
in one of the late race crashes.

Lone Top 10 in ARCA for Rick Tackman.

His recount of the race from a recent Facebook post:
"Great race with a stacked field. I qualified 14th was up to 2nd by lap
20. Ran behind Kimmel until about lap 70 when Benning got by me in
traffic and a lap car ran me up and I spun. Restarted 23rd...last car on
lead lap! With 25 laps to go I finished 9th! Not bad for an old chassis
I bought, hung a 98 Taurus body on it and updated it, then build the
engine in my 2 car garage...next to the car...using a STOCK 351w block
out of a truck! And the rest were mostly used parts. Turned 8500 rpm all
day."
