Kenny Wallace wanted to point that out during the broadcast. Defending race winner Ryan Hemphill was interviewed under one caution. Hemphill was rideless after being released from his Busch ride weeks earlier following some underwhelming results - a huge shock after his dominating 2004 ARCA season. He was at the track as a driver coach for Joey Miller but little did he know his racing career was all but over at the time. After a pair of Pro Cup races the next year he was done and unfortunately relegated to a footnote in ARCA history. Joey Miller completely stomped the field. He was frequently able to open up multi-second leads within just a couple of laps following restarts. Frank Kimmel fell back early and was uncharacteristically a midpack car most of the night. He expertly dodged several wrecks that occurred just in front of him by extremely narrow margins and was able to come away with a top 10 on a night that he ran near the tail end of the lead lap for much of the middle 100 laps of the race. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
