A few cars spun to avoid or had minor contact, until Brian Kaltreider came in and cleaned everyone out. The chain reaction ended with Michael McDowell, already past the scene of the accident, getting rear-ended after being hit by a car that had been clobbered by the speeding Kaltreider) Second caution - laps 12-14 - 59 spun frontstretch Third caution - laps 61-70 - 5 spun backstretch (There was speedy-dry put down on the entrance to pit road after the first lap crash. The broadcasters speculated it could be an issue for the rookies if they ever got to green flag pitstops, however unlikely that is for the ARCA series. Sure enough, a long green flag run ensued but the rookies were able to woah it down just fine. However, veteran driver and race leader Frank Kimmel spun trying to come to pit road! No caution waved and he was bailed out when Bobby Gerhart, his championship rival, cut a tire on the backstretch to bring out the caution. A lengthy caution period ensued as the timing and scoring debated whether Kimmel was on the lead lap or a lap down.) Fourth caution - laps 71-77 - 17, 50 accident frontstretch (Henriksen assumed the lead under the pit cycle and restarted behind some cars at the tail end of the lead lap. He had passed a few successfully when Bryan Silas made an ill-timed move - imagine that! - to block Henriksen and turned himself in front of the field.) Fifth caution - laps 78-84 - 17, 39, 42, 46, 51, 53 accident frontstretch (they crashed coming to the green. They never made it to turn 1 under green from lap 61 until lap 84, and then they promptly wadded it up in 3 & 4.) Sixth caution - laps 86-91 - 7, 59, 61 accident turn 4 (Who doesn't love basically 30 straight laps under caution at a mile and a half?) Seventh caution - laps 116-121 - debris To the rear - 05, 39, 40, 90 - unapproved adjustments Additional DNQs according to the broadcast: 58. Dale Shearer (#73 Dale Shearer Racing Ford, owner Dale Shearer) 59. Ryan Vos 60. Alex Garcia This was ran as a companion race to the IRL event. Drivers complained that the track had very little grip as the ARCA cars ran Hoosier tires while the Indy teams ran Firestone, leading to some nervous laps whenever the ARCA cars hit the track right after the Indycars. 6.
