This is still Kinser's last ARCA start to date and it was his only one after his win at Talladega the prior year. 7. Montoya led 14 laps early but hit the wall while leading on lap 18, damaging the #4 Texaco-Havoline Dodge Charger to point he hard to go behind the wall for repairs. He got back out but his chance for a win was gone. 9. 48johnsonfan posted: 04.26.2017 - 11:45 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I still find it crazy that Bobby Gerhart actually had a chance to win the 2006 ARCA championship that year. In the end, despite Frank Kimmel ending his day early, he still won the championship by 215 points. 10. rm posted: 11.06.2018 - 4:57 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) First caution - laps 20-24 - 4, 61 accident frontstretch Second caution - laps 31-41 - 42 oil on track Third caution - laps 58-63 - 38 slow turn 4 Fourth caution - laps 74-76 - 40 spun turn 2 (Wangerin spun while being lapped and then spun again trying to get up to speed under the yellow, nearly getting t-boned when he stopped in the middle of the track) Fifth caution - laps 113-117 - 70 accident turn 4 Sixth caution - laps 169-174 - debris Seventh caution - laps 182-194 - 11, 40 accident frontstretch Eighth caution - laps 199-215 - 6, 16, 32 accident turn 1 Ninth caution - laps 232-234 - 08 spun turn 2 Attendance - 19,000 4 crew chief - Brad Parrott 61 crew chief - Steve Darne 11 sponsor - PBG/Fast Track Andy Hillenburg Throwback (Ran Andy's 1995 ARCA Championship scheme) 32 sponsor - Country Joe Homes/Bjorklund Motorsports 4 owner - Chip Ganassi 13 owner - Mark Gibson This was supposed to be James Hylton's final race in ARCA according to the broadcast. Of course we all know that he wound up coming back anyway, he tried the Daytona 500 the very next year and ran several more full ARCA schedules before he retired for good after 2013. He brought it down pit road on lap 86 and I don't think he got back out there, I think his status shouldn't be "running" but not sure what the story is there. Steven Wallace absolutely destroyed the field, no doubt thanks to the massive track time advantage he had over the rest of the drivers. At one point during the middle stages, the announcers speculated that he might lap the field. Only Kraig Kinser could remotely keep up. Predictably, for a 250 lap ARCA race, the attrition rate was brutally high. No wonder we only do 150 now at Iowa. 11. The series' oval track endeavors in the state would prove much more enduring as a visit to this short track because a staple of the tour for years to come. 12. rm posted: 12.27.2019 - 4:07 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 1 sponsor - Vander Haag's Inc.
