I don't think many people thought Carter would win in 2008 before Kimmel would, with Kimmel not winning at all until August at Springfield. Kimmel would collect 3 total wins in 2008, all coming after he suffered a concussion in a nasty crash at Pocono that saw his car get several seconds of airtime from a huge hit on the Long Pond Straightaway. Andy Hanson, a late model driver from the upper midwest, won the pole in his series debut and in one of his only two starts. He even set the track record, though it was broken months later in the infamous 2008 season finale. 7.
