John Hayden was Sheltra's crew chief for this race and throughout the entire 2008 ARCA season. From the "you couldn't make this up if you tried" realm: Jennifer Jo Cobb's sponsor in this race was Better Black TV, an online television network geared towards African-Americans and owned by 90s rapper-turned-entrepreneur Master P. The network didn't last very long. As to why Master P thought advertising the company on a midpack-at-best ARCA car with JJC at the wheel was a solid business decision, I have no idea. The quote given in the press release states, "Advertising in auto racing with female drivers allows us a unique marketing vehicle and an opportunity to reach a new and diverse audience." But, then again, Master P's net worth is well over half a billion (with a b!) dollars, so what do I know? 68 owner - Derrike Cope 8.
