He was the fastest of anyone but was caught by the rain. 2. Matt posted: 03.13.2009 - 12:33 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Race was shortened from 67 laps due to rain. 3. Stenhouse was still feeling the effects of a flip in a USAC Midget race at Eldora the week before. First ARCA road race since the one at Watkins Glen in 2001 Andy Lally wins the pole and gets a top-5 in his only ARCA start of 2008 Justin Lofton was third behind Lally and ex-F1 racer Scott Speed when his engine blew Tom Graham's ARCA debut and only start to date. His car suffered a mechanical failure early and actually came to a stop on the paved racing surface. 5. I'm not entirely sure, however. 7. A solid result, too. With Stenhouse ailing, Colin Braun practiced and qualified the 99 car, as well as racing the car following the first caution of the day. 15. rm posted: 11.21.2019 - 7:40 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) 44 owner - Bob Schacht In an unusual one-race deal, Frank Kimmel worked out a deal for Bob Schacht to build a road course car for Kimmel to run in Kimmel's first full year as an owner-driver. After several test sessions before the race weekend, Kimmel seemed sure that he would beat Schacht on the track seeing as Schacht had been in retirement for eight years...but when the rain ended the race early Schacht finished 9th while Kimmel wound up 10th! 16.
