After 13 different race winners in the first 14 races of the season, 11 of them first time winners, there's been 4 straight repeat winners on the year. Joey Coulter's 5th top 2 finish of the season is also his 7th top five, tying his total from his 2009 rookie season. Tom Hessert III's 10th top five of the season still keeps him in 3rd in the standings, 15 points back of the lead. Mikey Kile has his 3rd top five in the last 5 races. Justin Marks has back-to-back top fives for the first time since 3 in a row from February to April. Patrick Sheltra's series-leading 15th top ten of the season keeps him in the point lead. Bryan Silas has his 3rd top ten in the last 4 races. Chad McCumbee has 3 straight finishes of 8th. Robb Brent's 2nd straight top ten is just his 3rd in the 7 races since his win at Pocono. Craig Goess finished 13th but earned 15 bonus points for his 3rd pole of the season, enough to put him 2nd in the standings and just 5 points back of Patrick Sheltra. 2. He's only made two attempts since then, neither of which were for the family team's #21 car that they fielded for many years. They reunited in 2012 to field a car at Salem for Bob Strait, a one-time winner for the Bowsher team, but Strait too crashed out early on in that race. The story's not all bad, though, as they did wind up back in victory lane at Salem in 2017 - Ken Schrader's team rolled into the track with Austin Theriault's car decaled up to look like Jack Bowsher's former ride, and Theriault mounted a late charge when he made the pass for the win on Zane Smith with 4 laps to go. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
