With a faster car, Brennan politely moved Ty up the racetrack and took the lead. But Dillon didn't like that. Ty got his panties in a bunch and overreacted. He flat out took Brennan out and gave the win to the 3rd place runner Chris Buescher. After the A-Hole move by Dillon a fight ensued in the pit lane. Some pushing and shoving occurred with the addition of some vulgar language. Overall some fireworks to end the 2011 ARCA season. 2. Hopefully they leave ARCA alone now that Childress's spoiled brat grandsons have moved on. 3. Still amazing to see Buescher steal the win from a slightly distant 3rd. While Dillon won the title Buescher did straight up beat him for Rookie of the Year. Jack Sprague was supposed to be entered in this race for the Beard Oil racing team, looks like they withdrew before coming to this race though. 4. If they did, then I never got word on it. 5. RaceFanX posted: 10.17.2011 - 1:27 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) SPEED aired the race later in the night on tape delay. Not as good as live but it was aired as intended. 7. AlmirolaFan88 posted: 10.17.2011 - 1:40 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) SPEED did show the race at 10pm EST time last night. I just finished watching the race on my DVR. Crazy finish. At one point the top of the SPEED ticker showed "Federated Car Car 200 Winner - Brennan Poole" as he was being wrecked with 2 laps remaining. Awesome to see Chrissy Wallace back in the spotlight. Best of luck to her as she runs for ARCA ROTY...and perhaps a championship next season. Note to Brennan Poole, wait till the last lap, bud. 8. I was crewing for the 11 car and they should have waited until the track was completely dry first. Really disappointing when some young guns decides to divebomb a corner on the first green flag lap on a damp track. 9. 00andJoe posted: 10.17.2011 - 2:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "RCA made the drivers run the first 42 laps under the yellow flag I think that was uncalled for" Why? That's exactly what NASCAR used to do in Cup before they got attacked by the "It Has To Look Good On TV Bug". If running the cars on track and starting the race under the green+yellow helped dry the track, that's exactly what they'd do. (Now, I -will- admit that 42 laps does seem a little excessive, but 20-something would be fine...) Also, while it didn't matter thanks to Chris Buescher's win, apparently ARCA has an utterly stupid rule that needs to be done away with: namely, you can't win the championship and the ROTY award in the same year. By rule! 10. Talk4Tar posted: 10.17.2011 - 3:37 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "Agreed. I was crewing for the 11 car and they should have waited until the track was completely dry first. I was there, with threatening weather, it was best to get some laps under their belt than risk another rain shower coming in. Smart move by ARCA. Also, Ty Dillon did no different than Poole, but Poole just spun because of it. The crowd was livid and I thought Dillon was gonna get booed out of the place. Also, after seeing her in person, Milka Duno has to be one of the most god awful drivers I have EVER seen. She was horrible and repeatedly blocked the lead lap cars. 11. Greg G posted: 10.17.2011 - 4:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) As long as Milka has the CITGO dollars she will find a drive in some division. Saw her a Daytona in Feb. And she could barely get out of her own way. Nice run for Chrissy. She is the best Wallace driving out there now. 12. Jim posted: 10.17.2011 - 5:30 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) I agree , boring year with Ty "not shaving yet" Dillon running away with it. 13. Talon64 posted: 10.17.2011 - 5:39 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Chrissy ran in the top 10 for much of the race before she had a late spin, but recovered to finish 11th. The biggest issue in the RCR/Venturini fireworks was that the #31 team came over to "back up" the #41, when things had remained pretty calm until then. I've got no issues with the Venturini team being hot about it though, they're an ARCA-only team while RCR's the big-dog Cup team. Is RCR even going to be back next year? Anyways, Chris Buescher picked up his 5th career ARCA win, with 3 of them coming in the last 4 races of the season and also 3 in the last 4 at Toledo. After winning 7 of the first 13 races of the year, Ty Dillon went win-less in the last 6 races. Chad McCumbee ended the year with 6 straight top 10 finishes, and picked up his 4th top 5 of the year. The #1 Andy Belmont team finished 6th in the owners standings, their highest finish since 2001 when Belmont finished 3rd in points as a driver. Somebody in Trucks or NNS has to give McCumbee a ride for next year. Tom Hessert III earned his only pole of 2011 and the 2nd of his career; he finished 4th for his 7th top 5 of the year, but after fighting for the title and finishing 3rd in 2010 he fell to 7th in the standings in his 1st year driving for Ken Schrader's team. Grant Enfinger also got his 4th top 5 of the year, and in his first full season in ARCA he finished 4th in the standings driving for Allgaier Motorsports. He's supposed to do some Cup racing next year so... good luck with that. 19 y/o Ryan Wilson ended up with 2 top 10's in 4 starts in ARCA this year. 15 y/o Clint King failed to start from pole for the first time in 3 career ARCA starts but finished 7th for his 2nd top 10 of the year. Following up his 3 consecutive top 5 finishes in the middle of the season, Chad Hackenbracht failed to finish in the top 5 for the last 9 races. Charles Evans got his first top 10 in 3 career ARCA starts, all this year. After having no top 10's in his first 5 career ARCA starts in 2011, Jared Marks had finishes of 4th and 10th in the last 2. 14. Ty Dillon won't make it if he keeps racing like a jerk. Kimmel way earlier in the season and this. There is a difference. Poole bumped Dillon and Dillon dumped Poole. Don't have to watch it to know that. Did Poole spin anybody out in the race? Ty appears to be a dirty driver. I may catch flack about it but I don't care. If Ty and Austin weren't RC's grandchildren, these 2 spoiled punks wouldn't be where they are. 17. Talk4Tar posted: 10.17.2011 - 7:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "16. Dodge posted: 10.17.11 - 7:31 pm" Poole may not have full on dumped anyone like Ty did to him, but Poole nearly spun several people before he got to Dillon, and doored Dillon to get the lead from him. Poole was very dirty this race. 18. 00andJoe posted: 10.17.2011 - 9:41 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) "Saw [Duno] at Daytona in Feb. And she could barely get out of her own way." Funny, at Daytona she was actually pretty good, just got caught up in somebody else's wreck. The rest of the season, though... 19. joey2448 posted: 10.18.2011 - 4:24 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I know ARCA has different rules than NASCAR, but I find it ridiculous that they would have a one-lap shootout to end the race, because when Ty spun Poole out of the lead, it was the final lap. The white flag had flown, and so Chris Buescher should've won the race right then and there... 20. AlmirolaFan88 posted: 10.18.2011 - 11:57 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) That's how it used to be in the Truck Series years ago. NASCAR would take as many GWC's as possible to ensure a green flag finish, even if there was a caution thrown on the last lap. 21. Poole definitely raced Dillon hard, maybe a little more than hard, and Dillon was not a fan of that. Dillon got back on the gas early in turn 1 and ran right up to Poole's bumper, setting off the melee. The restart was thankfully uneventful. 27. Chris Buescher and Brennan Poole both stayed in ARCA for 2012 but would also move up the ladder later on with all three eventually running together in the Cup series in 2020. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
