MegaRacer posted: 07.28.2012 - 10:54 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) There were technically 2 car 88's in the race (Buster Graham the other). I'm surprised it wasn't listed as "28" as in 2 8's. Irregardless, glad i was there to see Frank Kimmel end his winless streak and get win #75. Edging slightly closer to the record. 3. 10andJoe posted: 07.28.2012 - 11:31 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Ed - Matt Crafton OFFICIALLY drove the #18 because, as noted, Buster Graham had the #88. The second ThorSport car was numbered 88 but scored as the 18. Not sure which number the site should use in that case though! 4. 10andJoe posted: 07.28.2012 - 11:32 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #12 sponsor: Walgreens/Dodge #55 sponsor: CG Financial Services/Paragon Corvette Reproductions #58 sponsor: Tastee Apple/@ChadH58 #68 sponsor: Tilted Kilt 5. 10andJoe posted: 07.28.2012 - 11:35 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Cautions: Laps 20-25, #22 accident turn 1 (Lucky Dog: ?) Easily one of the best additions to the ARCA schedule in many years. Finally, the race was officially called the Messina Wildlife Animal Stopper 200 presented by Federated Care Car (yeah that's a mouth full lol). That track picked up the additional sponsorship earlier in the week. 12. Very unprofessional of ARCA. Because the team wanted to run the 88 (it's ThorSport's and Crafton's "traditional" Truck number). Did Graham's car run a different 'car-side number'? 14. chris o posted: 07.28.2012 - 6:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) it may not have been like a nationwise series race at IRP, but hey ARCA boys do a good job here 15. 10andJoe posted: 07.30.2012 - 5:13 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #12 sponsor should be Walgreens/Dodge - 'Walgreens' is not possessive. 16. rob posted: 07.30.2012 - 11:04 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) a great race. i wish ARCA would come back to my area (carolinas and virginia). i never missed a race for them at south boston and also attended the last one at charlotte. there was talk at one time of them coming to VIR, but that was a few years ago. 17. David posted: 07.31.2012 - 5:58 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) #13 - Graham has the right to use it, he's running most of the season. Just because it's traditional to Trucks doesn't mean its right to run a number that's already taken. 18. Paul posted: 07.31.2012 - 11:01 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @10, IRP was removed from the Truck schedule because NASCAR wanted as many people to attend IMS and not have to choose between it and IRP. Frankly, it didn't work as attendance for IMS dropped by about 13,000 this year, plus the Trucks lost a great race in the process. 19. jamie88fan@yahoo.com posted: 10.25.2012 - 12:50 pm Rate this comment: (0) (3) Arca is a joke almost all the races have one douchebag that cant complete a lap im not buying that BS arca needs to do somthing about these so called racers if u cant not make atleast 1/4 distanace without a ligit issue then they dont need to be in the field short field or not thats not racing ... 20. It was also his first ARCA win driving a Toyota and the first of six for him driving the ThorSport #44. The Japanese brand was the fifth different manufacturer he won for in the series following prior wins at the wheel of Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Chevrolet, and Ford models. Showing off Kimmel's longevity in the series Oldsmobile and Pontiac had both been discontinued and gone so long they were no longer eligible for ARCA use at the time of this race. 28.
