In the closing laps, Enfinger, Kimmel, Gallagher, and possibly others all had tires go down, but the race stayed green. 6. Also, it was a second Ken Schrader Racing car using Hilldenburg's number and owners points. 13. joey2448 posted: 05.19.2014 - 5:15 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Thomas Praytor had a crazy wreck just past the halfway point when he spun entering turn 3 and backed it into the wall, or rather the foam blocks. It was good to see that padding there, but it looked like the blocks weren't even attached to anything, like they were just sitting there next to the wall. When Praytor hit the blocks, they went scattering, and most amusing of all, there was a crystal clear imprint of Praytor's wheel on the side of the foam block! It was hilarious! You could see the prints of the lugnuts and everything! 14. He had something break on the backstretch which spun the car around before he even got to the corner. It was a mess. Tim was also supposed to drive the full race at Mobile and Salem but they kept sending him his superspeedway car to park. He quit the team after qualifying, paid Wayne Pete some cash to start and park to keep him in the points, and is in talks with other teams about driving the rest of the season. 15. In fact the Owner of Carter 2 Motorsports, Roger Carter, is currently serving a jail sentence. I can't count how many times they've announced that a driver is going to drive full-time for them (Chase Austin, Bobby Hamilton Jr., etc.) and then the team falls through. I wish that team would just go away. The Tim Viens situation is just the latest in a long line of bulls%$%# for that team. 17. CBASS posted: 05.19.2014 - 2:38 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Chase Austin (not the dirt driver who many believe) was a scam-artist who duped Roger, No Fear, and NTS at the same time. Bobby simply didn't pay his share. He and the sponsor were supposed to split the bill, but he got cold feet when the due date came up and bailed. 18. Got a free shirt and had it signed by Justin Boston before the race, pretty cool he ended up winning. Those foam block "Budget Knockoff SAFER Barriers" gave me flashbacks to 2003 when Robby Gordon kept inching closer to the foam barrier at Sonoma, finally demolishing one of them. Funniest moment had to be when the clean-up truck took off during one of the cautions (the 3rd one I think) and lost a broom out the back. 19.
