Polesitter Austin Cindric, also making his first start of the season, had the fastest car throughout every session the cars were on track and in the race and ran down Enfinger on a dramatic last lap but couldn't pass the champ. 2. He ran out of gas with 3 laps to go, and parked it on the far inside of turn 2, where no caution was called, thankfully, producing a great finish. Had the caution been waved for Berte, not only would Enfinger have had to pit, but the race would have almost certainly ended anyways as it began to rain when Enfinger was interviewed in Victory Lane. 5. Pack should be listed as DC in the No. 64 since he was supposed to be in No. 64 but was replaced by Steve Fox in the race after Steve Fox crashed the No. 37 car in practice and didn't have a backup 23. rm posted: 03.22.2020 - 1:03 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) To the rear - 05, 98 - backup car; 0 - pitting before the green flag Notable crew chiefs: 5 - Billy Gerhart 8 - Mike Hillman Jr. 69 - Bill Kimmel Jr. 77 - Chad Bryant (same all year) Correction on the caution data - the third caution went through lap 30 and the fourth caution went through lap 38. Though GMS officially pulled out of ARCA after the 2015 season, the organization still had a presence in this race. Grant Enfinger, Brandon Jones and Kyle Benjamin were all driving cars that had been purchased from GMS during the offseason, and the solid pedigree was apparent - they were three of the top six finishers here. Will Kimmel's crash resulted in his decklid nearly separating from the car and it actually speared one of the styrofoam blocks of the SAFER barrier, taking it up and over the wall and onto the track. The track safety team had to replace the styrofoam before the race could go back green. Nine drivers in this race have won in the top three series of NASCAR, the most of any ARCA Pocono race since the second race from 2008. 24. rm posted: 08.03.2020 - 9:56 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) It took a little over 4 years, but the family-run Bret Holmes Racing team finally got back in victory lane in ARCA in July 2020 when Bret himself pulled out his first career win at Kansas. Unlike Enfinger's nailbiter win here where he had to both conserve fuel and hold off a fast-charging Austin Cindric, Bret dominated the race in which he won, leading 82 of 100 laps. 25.
