Weatherman ran into the back of Pompa while running 2nd, denting up his car and possibly costing him a better shot at the win after leading early. 3. Behar ran as high as second in the first 100 laps, at one point making a charge at leader Chase Briscoe, while Majeski ran steady all day in his home state. Josh Williams scores the second ARCA win of his career, the first coming earlier this year in Nashville, and closes the gap to points leader Briscoe. While running second with about 21 laps to go, Kyle Weatherman had a run-in with Ed Pompa, who spun out in front of Weatherman in turn 4. As mentioned above, Weatherman recieved minimal damage and continued on. 5. I have no idea what the deal was with the #0, #06 and #48 disasters. They would all sit on pit road or in the infield with NO WORK being done to the cars. And then it seemed like whenever they wanted to, they would magically reappear on the track for several laps while running 5 seconds a lap off the pace. Heck, even the low budget team covering the race caught it clearly! When the #06 spun to bring out a caution (how did that happen in the middle of the backstretch?) The screen automatically cut to what seemed to be an abandoned camera sitting in the grass in the infield, with the #48 and #0 sitting right in plain sight. Anyhoo, as soon as the caution flew, Brad Smith gunned that #48 and took off, and the #0 was out there 1 lap later under caution. And again, that #06 was just on and off the track riding around, yet he managed to come back out to spin out? If you're going to park it, then do like Peterson and Basham does and stay behind the freaking wall! Oh, and that #64 start and park got a ton of tv time yesterday, 3 different times they caught him turning behind the wall, and Ray Dunlap even gave them a sponsor plug! Just amazing! This series is just...pathetic. 8. CBASS posted: 06.20.2016 - 4:36 pm Rate this comment: (3) (1) 62, Peterson and Hylton typically only run caution laps on short tracks, due to the higher risk of them tearing up their only cars. 11. racer77 posted: 06.20.2016 - 6:18 pm Rate this comment: (0) (2) Seriously 1 of the worst races I've ever been to, watching 3 or 4 cars battle for 18th place by randomly pulling out on track, doing like 3 laps at half speed and doing the same thing again 20 minutes later. My question is how in the world do these teams make money doing this? How much does last place pay vs lets say 15th? 12. Brock posted: 06.20.2016 - 11:04 pm Rate this comment: (4) (0) @9. Anonymous posted: 06.21.2016 - 7:24 am Rate this comment: (3) (0) ARCA is not fading away, they haven't had a field size this low in a couple years and no doubt will rebound soon. There wasn't much incentive to go run this race unless you are a team that is trying to collect money every week, like much of the top and bottom of this field. I know at least two teams in the field weren't even planning on running but showed up anyway. It's a remote event, even by ARCA standards. They'll be back in Winchester next week and at Iowa and Pocono after that, I'm sure they'll draw 32+ for each of the latter two events. 16.
