Doheny had a very bad practice crash, destroying the front end of his car after crashing through a gate and impaling his car on a pole just outside the track. 3. I caught this event on New England Sports Net and although the field was tiny, they actually put on a great show (during a state fair of all times.) I think people forget how nice ARCA Racing Series is. You have the legendary Daytona/Talladega, road courses, dirt ovals and some speedways for the kids to crash out on and its a neat schedule! 7. rm posted: 08.22.2016 - 11:48 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I was concerned by the small field size as well but seeing as nobody was a start and park and we had 23 cars planning on going the distance, it wasn't a bad showing after all. 8. rw posted: 08.22.2016 - 12:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (3) These small fields for the ARCA series make me concerned :/. 9. They either delay for several weeks in updating certain data such as time of race, MOV, lap leaders, reason out of race, etc. or they don't bother doing it at all. 17. 23andJoe posted: 08.23.2016 - 5:12 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Well, by 'official' results in this case it was 'the Unofficial Results sheet that ARCA put out at the track' (that was posted on Patrick Davis' twitter). Official meaning 'ARCA said this', not 'finalised results' - I should have been clearer about that, so my apologies. And yeah, ARCA's getting steadily worse about reporting their full results. But they were never the best in the first place. For years when I took notes during the televised races I noted that not only did the officially-reported laps-under-caution numbers not square with the lap count from watching the race, there were multiple occasions where the official results got the /number of cautions/ wrong too! 18. ellison82 posted: 08.23.2016 - 7:51 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Josh Williams climbed from his car, no blood on his face, the camera cuts away, then back. The track workers appear to be helping Josh to his feet, you can see another worker picking his steering wheel up off of the track in the distance. Plus, Ray Dunlap said he fell, but a replay was never show. I think he was pretty POed at Unziker. 19. Kelly Kovski crashed out late in the going here while near the front in a car fielded by Mike Allgaier, and later in the afternoon Justin Allgaier, performing sub duty for Michael Annett, came in last in the Cup race at Bristol after crashing into the day's dominant driver in Kyle Busch. Combined age of the #98's driver (17-year old Justin Haley), crew chief (22-year old Mason Mitchell) and car owner (once again, 22-year old Mason Mitchell): 61 - which matched the age of fourth-place finisher Ken Schrader alone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
