While most of the front runners put their last set of tires on around halfway, inley saved 2 sets and put on fresh ones with about 40 to go, which allowed him to drive through the field from 9th to the win. Chad went to my high school, and I met him back in 2010, so you could say I was cheering for him pretty hard! 2. That could be a deal where they are still coming out of the Gibbs shop but Coy and not Joe is owner of record (Like how Ricky Hendrick was the owner for Brian Vickers' Hendrick Busch car when he won the title in 2003). Perhaps Coy is calling the shots as he phases into a larger role with the team? 7. rm posted: 04.09.2017 - 11:43 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Lessard was in a Toyota, not a Chevy. I believe he should be a withdraw, along with Barry Layne in the 08 car, driving for I think Wayne Peterson. Lessard wrecked hard in turn one on his first qualifying lap, a carbon copy of his incident here in testing. They started to unload the backup but for whatever reason they loaded it back up before it even got off the truck. Lessard will have to wait till Salem to make his official ARCA debut. No clue who the 62 owner is but it's not Hixson. That was a brand new team that only started up in the past 2 weeks. They wrecked in practice, getting some good damage on the front and back ends of the car. They qualified last, well slower than the next slowest car, and had pulled in the garage by lap 4. 46 of Thad Moffitt made his much-anticipated debut as the grandson of Richard Petty and the next in line in one of racing's most storied families. The day did not go according to plan though as he spun by himself on the frontstretch not even 5 minutes into practice and then was involved in a coulle incidents during the race. 3 of Senica was black flagged for being too slow and then missed the pit entrance; not being able to refire for some reason he stopped on the frontstretch bringing out the caution. The 3, 94, 0, and 48 were all warned about being too slow at various points. Shearer in the 94 was already multiple laps down when he pulled in right before being parked. The 06 had trouble communicating so they were kinda sorta parked. The first 3 free passes were the 69, 5 and 80. Lost track after that. Michael Lira had a flat right rear but kept going instead of pitting, eventually spinning in turn 3 right in front of then-leader Kyle Weatherman. Bobby Gerhart wrecked hard at the top of one and two and some panel from the back of the car flew over the wall and out of the park. Those were just two of the 11 cautions, a mark higher than the last two Nashville races combined. I'll post crew chiefs later. 8. And it only took him 44 starts to finish a race. Holy DAMN that's quite the career of futility! 14. rm posted: 04.09.2017 - 1:57 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 08 was Kimmel/Higdon ownership and he's a WD. Lessard is indeed a DNS. The "0" only finished because he kept going to the pits, coming back out and running laps under yellow. That same man in that same car did the same old sheet again like he did at two short tracks last year. Also spinning out in both races. No wonder ARCA Racing is a joke. Luckily, with the mandated running of the composite boides in 2018 hopefully Peterson, Hixson, and Hylton's teams will finally just go away. 23. I can't remember why they were so much slower than usual this weekend, I think maybe they didn't buy tires? Can't say the same for Hixson or Peterson, but I doubt they have composite cars. Fast Track debuted their composite car this week, not the run they were looking for but they should be more competitive going forward. 69 was not a Kimmel car, owner should be Tommy Higdon. It's the same deal as the 11 - the number is owned by one team but the car was ran by another team. Anyway, crew chiefs: 0 - Michael Peterson 04 - Danny Reeves 06 - Brad Frye 2 - Crystal Bates 3 - Wayne Hixson 5 - Billy Gerhart 6 - Josh Williams 8 - Jamie Jones 9 - Adam Lowe 10 - James Swanson 11 - Matt Weber 15 - Jeff McClure 18 - Shannon Rursch 22 - Paul Andrews 23 - Bryan Berry 25 - Dave Leiner 27 - Dan Glauz 28 - Doug Howe 32 - Todd Myers 33 - Bill Henderson 34 - Tommy Bear 46 - Mike Cheek 48 - Brad Smith 51 - Bruce Cook 52 - Donnie Richeson 55 - Billy Venturini 67 - Kevin Lane 69 - Bill Kimmel 77 - Chad Bryant 78 - Kevin Reed Jr. 80 - Wally Finney 94 - Jimmy Edlin No clue who the crew chief was on Reese's 62, but otherwise that should be everyone. Also of note - Chase Briscoe, the defending champion, was spotting for Dalton Sargeant and Frank Kimmel was spotting for Shane Lee. 25. rm posted: 04.10.2017 - 3:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Oops, quick correction on crew chiefs. 48 was Mike Strange, Smith wasn't crew chiefing his own car lol. CBASS posted: 04.10.2017 - 9:40 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Hylton's entry typically rides around on short tracks to save the equipment. These short track races are rough on equipment so they put their effort in the intermediate races on their tiny budget. Chris Reese did in fact own his own car. Eric Caudell simply helped him out since they are from the same town. 33. rm posted: 04.10.2017 - 10:09 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Couple more things - Finley led 10 laps. The first caution was for debris from the 9 car. The fifth caution also involved the 46...A few other cars went around or hit the wall there but I can't remember who they were and TV never showed a replay of it. The eighth caution also involved the 2. The debris in the tenth caution was in turn 2 and it was the back bumper cover off the 77. 34.
