If qualifying was cancelled and they reverted to practice speeds he would have been a DNS but since that did not happen he just gets a WD. 5. Ahead of them as this happened, Benjamin got loose under Weatherman and spun near the entrance to pit road. Somewhere in the mayhem Creed and Sear took on damage, then Benjamin inexplicably rammed into the side of Sear once he got rolling again. 7. Nice to see ARCA actually implement a minimum speed rule in this race. Kept his cars from crashing into everyone else like they have done all year. 8. And the minimum speed rule has been there all year, you need to run within 20% of the leader's lap time or else you get warned, black flagged, and then parked. Way easier to be off the pace at speedways, especially Michigan. 10. Tears of The Sun posted: 06.17.2017 - 11:37 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Look at the condition of the ARCA series. You start and park and nearly get a top 20 these days. Good job at making racing so expensive to the point the blue collared working man can't afford build a car and go race anymore as back in the 90's when motor sports was booming 11. Only difference is James actually attempted to run the full distance. 12. Shoutout to Eric Caudell for hanging onto that 2 car and finishing just 5 laps down, he was driving that old car to its limits and did great for the equipment he's in. That's his own Ilmor engine in it. 17. rm posted: 06.19.2017 - 10:19 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) There's a quick turnaround to Madison, a faraway short track, on Friday. Looks like only the 22 full time numbers/teams will be entered - just like Salem and Elko - as soon as MDM and the 28 can find a driver or team to run that number. 18. Crew chief Todd Myers has been fined $1500 per violation, total $3000, and car owner Kevin Cywinski and driver Gus Dean have each been penalized with the loss of 25 points per violation, total 50 championship points, as a result of the violations. Michigan generally has one of the highest mechanical attrition rates each year since it's the fastest of the speedway races. This race was no different, with 5 teams dropping out or going multiple laps down with mechanical failures. 22. In 2016 Weatherman's car ran out of fuel with 4 laps to go, and here in 2017 he blew a tire trying to hold off a hard-charging Jones. 27. The company has a huge plant in Saginaw, Michigan so a victory in the Wolverine State for them was also going to be popular. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
