Michael Self put on a great show, roaring and sliding all over the place in his Sinclair car. Owners: 28, 88 - Mason Mitchell 12, 41 - Matthew Miller 08 - Bill Kimmel Car make: 2 - Ford 06 - Chevrolet DNF reason: 0 - DNS (Peterson renumbered the cars, with the blue Dodge going to 06 and the black Chevy going to 0. Something happened in practice and Con's blue Dodge was not able to race, couldn't tell ya if he crashed since that car looks so beat up anyway. The black Chevy was hastily re-renumbered to 06 and Con raced anyway) 06 - too slow 10 & 3 were start and parks, not sure what happened to the 33 or the 08 but it wouldn't surprise me if the 08 parked it as well. To the rear: 15 - unapproved adjustments (changed some stuff in the rear end) 06 - backup car Might have been a few pitting early, will have to check the tv broadcast in 2 weeks since I missed the green flag Sponsors: 52 - Federated Auto Parts/SEM 78 - Turn One Condos/St. Charles Glass 3 - XG Industries 10 - Double H Ranch/Cedar Peaks 08 had a small sponsor, some printing & embroidering company I think, but I can't remember the name or find a picture Cautions: First caution - laps 13-? - 28 spun turn 4; free pass - 9 Second caution - laps 32?-42 - 55, 88 accident backstretch; free pass - 28 (caution extended for the 9 car stalling on the backstretch, heard they had issues with the ignition, alternator and radiator) Third caution - laps 43-48 - 69 accident turn 3; free pass - 88 Fourth caution - laps 62-68 - 2 spun backstretch; free pass - 34 Fifth caution - laps 134-141? - 2 spun frontstretch, free pass - 41 I realize this is partial data but it's better than nothing for anyone interested. If nobody else does, I'll submit the correct info when this airs on MAVTV. 2. The race was called just the ARCA Iowa 150 before the track decided they wanted to run a promotion for the season ticket holders instead. 7. Legacy engine and the car are toast for now, but Ralston is back in another steel car this week at Indy. 12. Surprised it's not on Youtube. Caution data, based off of what I had previously posted... First caution - laps 13-18 - 28 spun turn 4; free pass - 9 Second caution - laps 32-42 - 55, 88 accident backstretch; free pass - 28 (caution extended for the 9 car stalling on the backstretch) Third caution - laps 43-48 - 69 accident turn 3; free pass - 88 Fourth caution - laps 62-68 - 2 spun backstretch; free pass - 34 Fifth caution - laps 133-140 - 2 spun frontstretch, free pass - 41 The 0 was a Dodge and the 06 was a Chevy. The reasons were already explained, not sure why #15 says otherwise... 17. Pressed into duty unexpectedly, Cox was the first one out of the race in his first appearance in nearly 3 years. A longtime competitor for father-in-law Wayne Hixson's team, the veteran of 165 ARCA races was a surprising late entrant for the show at Iowa. Cox was making just his second start at Iowa - having never been a fulltime driver once the track opened - mere days before his 51st birthday. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
