I believe the 3 and 06 were DNQs like at Pocono for being too slow but I can't confirm that. Zane Smith was leading with 15 to go when he had a terminal transmission failure. That should be reflected as his DNF reason. 2. Brandon posted: 08.06.2017 - 11:00 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Dalton Sergeant lost a driveshaft I believe. 3. Danish Pie posted: 08.07.2017 - 7:13 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) 18.72 was the minimum speed? And they couldn't reach it? God bless that team. Love Wayne Peterson taking cars to the track that look and drive like an old war hero, but that's just depressing. 6. JSPorts posted: 08.07.2017 - 7:50 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I think he meant 18.72 seconds. That would be a speed of 96.154 mph. 7. Danish Pie posted: 08.07.2017 - 8:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @6 Yeah, that makes more sense. I was looking at it after I posted it wondering why the minimum speed on a race track is less than the speed limit on most city roads. xD -1 for common sense Regardless, stiill sad to see them sent home a lot lately for just not being fast enough. Always love cheering for them. 8. Dawson posted: 08.08.2017 - 12:08 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) Sorry should of clarified a little better. This is a new rule they've just started at the Pocono race. Don't qualify faster than min speed then you don't race. My thoughts are they're trying to make the small teams quit or dive deeper into the check book 9. 02Justin10 posted: 08.08.2017 - 8:43 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I love the new rule! Make teams show up and run minimum speed or send them packing! The Hixson and Peterson cars have floated around and caused lots of carnage and cautions this year while running slower than most people can go on bicycles. ARCA is finally doing something right on the slow cars issue and it is about time. 10. GoPM21 posted: 08.08.2017 - 10:32 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @#8 So, since I really don't follow ARCA too closely, what happens if a team has a bonafide failure in qualifying, such as an engine blowing on their lap? 11. rm posted: 08.08.2017 - 4:24 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 10 - probably handled on a case by case basis. The rule has been in place most of the year actually but the DNQ part of it only started to be enforced at Pocono since it was a speedway race. They enforced the part where if you qualify or practice too slow you must start and park a couple times earlier this year but only in the last couple races did they start to crack down more on it. Peterson and Hixson may not be back next year anyway with composite bodies being mandated at the plate tracks so unless they can sell their 4 numbers for 2 races each they cannot run the full schedule. The back of the field could look very different next season. 12. Also there is people in the Arca garage that are trying to get Peterson a composite for next year. 13. Dawson posted: 08.08.2017 - 5:01 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Cons DNF should be Engine. We was close to blowing up in the race so con pulled it in 14. rm posted: 08.08.2017 - 6:37 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 12/13 - didn't know that you were in the garage as well, probably talked to you before and didn't even know it. I hope Wayne can get a composite car next year, if Brad Smith & Hylton can do it that shows that just about any team can hopefully get a composite car. 15. Zane took advantage of pit strategy to wind up in the lead just in front of eventual winner Kyle Benjamin after the second caution but a broken transmission on the final restart doomed him to a DNF. 19. oldschoolracing519 posted: 11.29.2017 - 11:13 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Crew Chief updates #52 Donnie Richardson #28 Mardy Lindley 20. The series' return that year was unexpected, the race was a Covid-19-related schedule change to cover for DuQuoin being unavailable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
