Not sure which it counts as.) 23 - Brett Holmes - Engine 63 - Dave Mader III - Crash 11 - Morgen Baird - Engine 0 - Mark Meunier - Handling 2. But that's something considering what that group has gone through. 3. rw posted: 06.08.2018 - 9:56 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Finally Sheldon gets his first win! 4. Not sure I've ever seen that before. They lost a ton of laps doing repairs and never were competitive. It was a sign of things to come... Brutal attrition rate. Looked like a classic ARCA @ Michigan mechanical failure fest. 6. Wot posted: 06.08.2018 - 10:31 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Had a tire issue on the first lap 7. Her team even had to fix an oil problem underneath the car. 8. rm posted: 06.08.2018 - 10:33 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) DNF reasons (official): 0 - DNS (pulled off at the green and ARCA didn't score him) 06 - fuel pump 1 - electrical 11 - clutch 12 - overheating 23 - electrical 34 - transmission 51 - accident 63 - accident One WD: Jesse Iwuji in the #34 BBMC Chevrolet owned by John Wood. But I'm glad to see Sheldon Creed finally got that win! This is a 2-man championship race now, with Creed trailing Zane Smith by only 10 points. It will be fun to watch down the stretch. 13. rm posted: 06.09.2018 - 9:48 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Standings on here haven't updated yet, Sheldon has taken the lead after Zane's 11th place finish. I believe Sheldon now has the lead by 50 or 55 points if I did my math properly 14. JSPorts posted: 06.09.2018 - 9:54 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Oh, that's odd. They have all the updated stats (8 starts for the full-time drivers, a win for Creed, etc.) so I assumed the points were updated, too. But I guess not. 15. David posted: 06.09.2018 - 9:58 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) FWIW, ARCA has not updated the points on their site either. And they usually don't until a couple of days after a race, though I guess if you know the formula (including their occasional mid-season bonuses for attempting all races in a bloc) you could compute the points independently. 16. He had 11 prior top-5s, including three runner-up finishes, and 16 top-10s before he finally unlocked the gates to victory lane. 17. If he keeps it up, that second win will be coming sooner than we think and he might be able to claw back into the championship hunt. Joe Graf Jr. spun during qualifying and had to start on the back row of the field, but quietly picked his way through the field and wound up with a top 5. It's another surprising result for the untested Graf. Quin Houff had something wrong with his engine and was smoking and dropping oil for most of the last third of the race. Combine that with him making contact with several other drivers during the race, including his teammate Max Tullman and Gus Dean, and he wasn't the most popular man on pit road post race. He confronted Dean, pulling up beside him on pit road, but Dean maintained his innocence in the ordeal, with a beat-in right side to back up his point. Leilani Munter had a much better showing this week and was able to use a late free pass to get back on the lead lap and finish in the top 10. Zane Smith qualified near the front but was never a factor in the race and wound up outside the top 10 and off of the lead lap, ceding the point lead to Sheldon Creed in the process. The other full time MDM driver, Chase Purdy, never found speed and had an unscheduled pit stop that kept him in the back all day long. Travis Braden looked like he could have another strong run, but the engine died on him early in the race and a flat tire later on doomed him to run several laps down. He was far from the only driver to struggle with mechanical gremlins, though, as a large portion of the field fell victim to a parts problem. Natalie Decker cut a left rear tire with 4 green flag laps on it at the drop of the flag, and the resulting brake line issue meant that for the second week in a row she was basically done before she even got to turn 1. Morgen Baird was in position to steal a top 10 when the clutch burnt up, resulting in the car dying on pit road. Bret Holmes had numerous issues, including a bad spark plug wire, before the car shut off for good and ended his day early. Con Nicolopoulos had to turn the car in an opening in the wall and get pushed back through the infield when his Dodge quit running. Brandon Jones picked up some damage after contact with Codie Rohrbaugh early in the race, and opted to park the car after it began pushing steam and overheated. Chad Finley cut a right front and crashed hard. Jesse Iwuji had some issue on the first restart and stopped the car in turn 4, much to the ire of ARCA officials. Iwuji had an interesting week, beginning with Patriot losing yet another car after he wrecked at Pocono. They withdrew their entry, tagging the Bashams back in to field the 34 this week. With sponsor obligations to fill, though, Iwuji worked out a deal to put BBMC on the Bashams' car for a start and park deal - kicking Mike Basham out of the driver's seat! Mike was a good sport about it though, as the deal should keep the Bashams competitive for a bit longer. 19.
